Type of Water: Numerous riffles, no real rapids.
Overview of this section: An interesting trip
through both wooded valley and pasture areas. Some limestone bluffs, but nothing like other Upper Iowa River stretches downstream of here. There is one fast, twisty-turny area just past a hill with cedars, about mid-way into the trip, that's a lot of fun to run. You're guaranteed to see cattle, but also some
scenic wild areas.
Hazard and Rapids: Snags coupled with fast water; with all the pastures, there can be fences.
Camping?: Not on this stretch.
Other Launches?: County V58, to the southeast of the bridge. Tough carry for old geezers.
Places to rent or buy outdoor equipment:

Other items of interest about this area:
Old mill at the put-in with mill pond above dam at Lime Springs is scenic.
Overall opinion of this section: Worth doing when the water is up and you want a change of pace.
