Overview of this section: While the Iowa River isn't the most beautiful river in iowa to paddle, it doesn't offer good fishing and quick flowing water.
Hazard and Rapids: The Iowa River runs rather quick, like most rivers during the spring months the river is mighty fast. There are a lot of swirling waters on the river as well as various down trees, bridges and boat docks.
Camping?: YES. We camped at Hills Access directly off the river. It has been a few years, but I do not remember how much its costs, if at all. The campground was very small with only fire rings available.
Other Launches?: You can also launch further up the river just below the Burlington Street Dam. Just be very careful because this water is very dangerous.
Places to rent or buy outdoor equipment: Fin & Feather in iowa city does rent canoes/kayaks 
Other items of interest about this area: Grab a couple chilled drinks and sit back, because you will not have to paddle much to get to the end quickly.
Overall opinion of this section: Being a local iowa Citian this is very easy afternoon route.
